Symptom: Windows / Realtek application keep popping up with "An audio jack has been (plugged/unplugged)". This can be caused by a dirty 3.5mm port or Windows getting a notification even stuck (it will happen every 10 mins or so).
This notification has no effect on the computer's audio performance can be suppressed by the user by following the below steps:
To Suppress Realtek Windows Notifications:
- Open the start menu
- Search for "Notifications and Actions" and launch the applet
- In the "Notification and Actions" Window, scroll to the bottom and locate the Realtek setting:
- Toggle the slider to "Off"
If the Realtek application is also popping up, follow these also:
To Suppress Realtek Application Notifications:
- Click OK on the "Input notification"
- Click the Spanner icon in the bottom right of the application:
- Turn the toggle from on (orange) to off (Black):
