There are a number of methods that Staff, students and IT staff can use to check the current status of Windows Updates.

Checking Individual PCs

All staff members, faculty, students can easily check the individual status of updates on PCs they are logged onto.

  1. Open your Start menu and type "Updates"
  2. Click "Check for updates
  3. Check the status on the page that appears, for example if you are up to date you will see:

Checking Bulk PCs via Intune

IT staff can check the status of updates of Intune managed PCs by:

  1. Go to Microsoft Intune admin center
  2. Go to Reports > Windows Updates
  3. View Summary and Reports tabs for current update statuses, clicking "Refresh" where appropriate

Checking Bulk PCs via PDQ Inventory

IT staff can check the status of updates managed by Group Policy and Microsoft Windows Updates for Business by utilising PDQ Inventory Reports.
