How-to manually install MECM Client on Windows PCs.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Download Client setup files from \\cansccm1\SMS_CBR\Client

  2. Make sure the device is in the correct OU otherwise it will not pickup Admin Groups
  3. Login to the device using your _a Account (running standard account will causes issues with permissions)

  4. Open Command Prompt/Terminal as administrator from an account with local administrator rights (Running CMD as admin on another account will not work)

  5. Navigate to the Client folder you copied to the PC, then run the following command to manually install:

    CCMSetup.exe /mp:CANSCCM1.ad.aie.edu /logon SMSSITECODE=CBR

    Note: This can take a few minutes to install, and nothing will be shown in CMD while it installs or once it completes. Wait a few minutes then check control Panel for "Configuration Manager" if its there and Software Center is working then its finished. If its not, you can check C:\Windows\CCM\Logs to see if there was any errors.
