Students and staff can self-install the Oculus application for Link Cable Usage with the Quest 2 headsets.
By following this guide, you can install the software yourself - you do not need to lodge a support ticket with IT.
Step-by-step guide for self installation
- Student or staff member be logged into an Australia classroom PC
- Open the Start Menu
- Select Software Center
- Find and click the "Oculus 1.76.0" Application
- Click "Install"
- The Oculus installation program will open, follow the prompts to complete the installation by clicking "Get Started"
- Agree to the Terms of Service
- Click "Install Now"
- The software will then be downloaded and install
- Once you see the "Installed" screen you can click Next or simply close the installer.
- You're all done! You can now use the Oculus application.
