Students and staff can self-install the Oculus application for Link Cable Usage with the Quest 2 headsets.

By following this guide, you can install the software yourself - you do not need to lodge a support ticket with IT.

Step-by-step guide for self installation

  1. Student or staff member be logged into an Australia classroom PC
  2. Open the Start Menu
  3. Select Software Center
  4. Find and click the "Oculus 1.76.0" Application
  5. Click "Install"
  6. The Oculus installation program will open, follow the prompts to complete the installation by clicking "Get Started"
  7. Agree to the Terms of Service
  8. Click "Install Now"
  9. The software will then be downloaded and install
  10. Once you see the "Installed" screen you can click Next or simply close the installer.
  11. You're all done! You can now use the Oculus application.
