To fix this:
  1. With Teams open at the "Teams needs an update" screen.
  2. Click on "Update Teams" which will open an new browser or tab.
  3. Select Download for desktop > Teams for or school > Download Teams (As shown below)
  5. Select the download once its ready.
  6. You may have to login to Teams
  7. Fixed
