Thie guide will explain the process from start to finish on how to submit render jobs to Fox RenderFarm, using both the Application and the Web Portal.
Note: At this time, the FoxRenderfarm application cannot render Maya 2017 Update 3 Projects. Earlier versions of Maya work fine. This may be fixed with a software update to the Fox RenderFarm application in the future.
Rendering with the Web Portal
Step-by-step guide
1. To access the web portal, use the following URL and login credentials
Login URL | https://www2.foxrenderfarm.com/ |
---|---|
Username | aieedu |
Password | aieedu2017 |
2. Submit Task
You will reach the home page of FoxRenderFarm, where you must select the software that was used to create the project that you are submitting. In most cases, this will be Maya Render.
3. Select Project
Here you may specify the project you are working with. In all cases, defaultProject will work fine, hit next.
4. Upload and select render files
This step can be a little confusing at first when explaining it to students. In the center of the screen you will see some mapped drives, and when expanding them may show other student projects.
These are render jobs that have been uploaded by students or teachers in the past. If any user was to upload a file from their C: drive, it will show under the C: drive mapping
