Re-imaging a machine will return the machine to the default SOE (Standard Operating Environment) this process is often used to correct a variety of software errors quickly.


DISCLAIMER: Performing a Re-Image will irreversibly erase ALL FILES on the computer, IT is not responsible for any loss of data if this is performed.

Step-by-step guide:

NOTE: Prompts may appear differently and if you miss any of the button prompts just reset the computer.

  1. When the computer is booting and you see the following show up repeatedly press the "F12" key
  2. When a prompt shows up for 'Microsoft Windows PE (x64) highlight and press the 'enter' key
  3. When you are prompted for a password enter the following: aie
  4. Next you will be presented with some different Task Sequences, Highlight the correct one and hit enter
    As of 04/02/2022 the current Image for AUS and US are the following:
    1. AUS Student Widnows 10 21 H2-B7
    2. US Student Windows 10 20H2 B10
  5. The computer will now Re-Image, this may take hours, it will be complete when you can see the login screen.
