Re-imaging a student PC will return the machine to the default SOE (Standard Operating Environment) this process is often used to correct a variety of software errors quickly.
DISCLAIMER: Performing a Re-Image will irreversibly erase ALL FILES on the computer, IT is not responsible for any loss of data if this is performed.
Step-by-step guide:
NOTE: Prompts may appear differently and if you miss any of the button prompts just reset the computer.
- When the computer is booting and you see the following show up hold down the "F12" key
- Press "Enter at any promtpts until you are presented with some different Task Sequences, Highlight the correct one and hit enter
As of 20/01/2023 the current Image for AUS and US are the following:- AUS Student Windows 10 22 R1
- US Student Windows 10 20H2 B10
- The computer will now Re-Image, this may take hours, it will be complete when you can see the login screen.
