The COVID-19 Study From Home Program has been discontinued. With the WHO announcing that COVID-19 is no longer an Emergency on 5th May 2023 , and both the USA and Australian government accepting the recommendations. AIE, and it's software vendors has discontinued the Study From Home program as our students return safely to our campuses and classes. |
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and Government mandated lockdowns, The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) IT has setup is supporting students to study remotely from the comfort of your own home, whilst still accessing a similar experience you have on-campus.
Under this program, you'll have access to online/virtual based classrooms , as well as access to licensed software and downloads (via VPN connectivity). Plus You will also have access to the Classes and Resources drives that you normally access only available on-campus – all from the comfort of your home.

Virtual Classes
To attend a Virtual Class, you’ll need a headset (preferably with a microphone).
- Login to https://aie.instructure.com with your AIE student username and password (e.g. s197999)
- Navigate to your course and click “Virtual Classes” in the menu
- From this page you will be able to “Join” any scheduled classes created by your Teacher.
Required Software
Microsoft Teams is the official communication tool between teachers and students. You can use either the web-based client, or preferably download the desktop application.
- Login to https://teams.microsoft.com with your AIE student e-mail address and password (e.g. s197999@students.aie.edu for USA students or @s197999@students s197999@students.aie.edu.au for Australian students)
- Either use the web-client or download the desktop application (bottom left corner).
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Connectivity & Accessing Campus Servers
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows students to securely connect to the AIE network to access file servers, floating licensing servers for licensing software.
