Issue #1 - Students with Loan PCs unable to Install Updated VPN Configurations AIE-71880

Students with loan PCs will be unable need to install their an updated VPN configuration profiles. We are investigating the issue and working on a solutionconfiguration via this method.

Steps to resolve:

• Delete the current outdated configuration files
  • Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos SSL VPN Client\config"
  • Delete any files that currently appear in that directory

• Login to the appropriate VPN User Portal
  • https://sea.vpn.aie.edu/ - Seattle Staff/Students
  • https://lft.vpn.aie.edu/ - Lafayette Staff/Students
  • https://aus.vpn.aie.edu/  - Australian Staff/Students
• Click the "Download configuration for other OSs"

• Copy and paste the downloaded file to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\Sophos SSL VPN Client\config"
• Connect to the VPN like normal.

Note: If you receive a prompt asking for Administration login details when deleting the current outdated configuration files. Please call the IT Service Desk on 02 6163 9500.

Issue #2 - Staff/Students Need to Redownload & Install VPN Configurations - AIE-71839

Please note, due to a 3rd Party certificate supplied to us by our networking vendor that AIE does not control expiring on May 30th, 2020. Staff and students will not be able to connect to the VPN until they re-download and install their VPN configuration which now contains an updated and valid certificate.

Steps to resolve:

• Login to the appropriate VPN User Portal
  • https://sea.vpn.aie.edu/ - Seattle Staff/Students
  • https://lft.vpn.aie.edu/ - Lafayette Staff/Students
  • https://aus.vpn.aie.edu/  - Australian Staff/Students
• Click the "Download configuration for Windows"
  
• Install the download
• Connect to the VPN like normal.
